Privacy Policy

MyAstral ("we", "the app") provides personalized astrology readings. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

• Birth details you enter: first name, birth date, birth time (optional), and birth place (city/country, resolved to coordinates and a timezone). These are used solely to compute your astrological chart and readings.
• Account details (optional): if you create an account, your email address and a securely hashed password, or a Sign in with Apple identifier. Without an account, we associate your data with a random per-device identifier only.
• Your readings: the charts, interpretations, horoscopes, and saved affirmations generated for you.
• Notification preferences and, if you enable reminders, a device push token.

We do not collect your device's GPS location. Birthplace search uses Apple MapKit and reflects only what you type.

How we use it

• To compute your birth chart using astronomical calculation software.
• To generate written readings. Your chart data and first name are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write your interpretation and daily horoscopes. This data is processed to produce your content and is not used to train third-party models.
• To deliver optional daily reminders you configure.
• To verify subscription status with Apple.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on your device and on our servers. Session tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain. Passwords are stored only as salted PBKDF2 hashes. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that make the app work: our AI content provider (Anthropic) and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Your choices

• Export: request a copy of your data from within the app (Profile → Your Data → Export).
• Delete: delete all your data permanently (Profile → Delete All My Data). This removes your birth details, chart, and reading history.
• Notifications: turn reminders off at any time in the app or iOS Settings.

Children

MyAstral is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Entertainment notice

Readings are for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
